Features of self-adhesive & high polymer waterproof sheet

Self-adhesive & high poly waterproof sheets are specially designed for railways and tunnels.

According to different engineering structures and designs, EVA,PET,HDPE, and high polymer non-woven fabrics are used as surface materials to make into high polymer self-adhesive waterproof roll materials.

It has many features, such as good flexibility, low temperature resistance, high extensibility, aging-resistance, high tensile strength, weak acid & weak alkali-resistance, easy to be constructred, environmental protection, water working (wet construction), and so on.

Construction Methods

1.Base treatment：

Base should be strong, dry, clean (no dusts, no oil stains), and convex area and cracks should be smoothed out by polymer cement mortar.

2.Painting base treatment agent:

Field fabrication of treatment agent: main ingredient: gasoline, some lytic agent should be added.  Coat/paint the treatment agent on concrete base, finally lay the waterproof roll on the concrete base after the gasoline has evaporated completely.

3 .Horizontal lay-up:

First, draw a datum line on the base, and then make a low-to-high lay-up along the datum line. Uncover the release paper while unfold the roll, then lay the waterproof sheet along the datum line. Overlapping width of roll sheet ≥50mm（fully paste），≥60mm (air-laying, spot-adhesion, strap-adhesion). Second, use rubber press roller to press waterproof sheet after laying-up.

4.Vertical lay-up:

Lay-up from bottom to top, and uncover the release paper while unfold the roll. Overlapping width of roll sheet ≥50mm（fully paste）, ≥60mm (air-laying, spot-adhesion, strap-adhesion). Second, use rubber press roller to press waterproof sheet after laying-up. 

5. Ending of waterproof roll:

Use sealant to seal the ends, use metal straps to fix. Bolts and end gaps should be sealed.

6. Inspection of construction:

All the self-adhesive waterproof roll should be inspected to check whether there are laceration, breakage, bubble, curling sides, split or not. Any defect area should be cut, squeeze out bubbles, enlarge the defected area, then stick another piece and press firmly and tightly.
