Plastic Blind Drain

Introduction

1.       Plastic blind drain is a kind of geosynthetics. It is made of plastic core wrapped with nonwoven geotextile. The main material of plastic core is synthetic resin of heat plasticity. After modification, plastic wires will come out of nozzle by squeezing when melted. The plastic wires will be fusion welded, finally 3D mesh structure will be produced.

2.       This kind of plastic blind drain overcomes the disadvantage of traditional blind drain, has the advantages of high surface porosity, good water collection, large voidage, good drainage, high pressure-resistance, good flexibility, good adaptation to soil deformation, good durability, light weight, easy for construction, etc. The construction efficiency is greatly improved, so it’s welcomed by the Engineering Depts. and widely used. 

Performance Test

Plastic blind drain has good pressure-resistance and resilience. The section voidage can be kept over 65% under the pressure of 250 Kpa (25T/㎡). It can repristinate soon after removing pressure.

Plastic blind drain has good corrosion resistance:

1.       Acid resistance: Concentrated acid will decompose it, but 10% hydrochloric acid or sulphuric acid has no influence to it.

2.       Alkali resistance: Its strength will not decrease in 50% caustic soda solution.

3.       Ultraviolet resistant, good wear resistant, antimicrobial, good fungus resistant.
